Hello Everyone,

I'm certified by the Department of Education in my state of New Jersey as an English teacher and also hold a separate certification to Teach English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). I have been teaching for 20 years throughout the USA and abroad--online and in-person.

My teaching experience includes having worked at one of the most highly regarded schools in the USA, Dr. Ronald McNair Academic High School, in New Jersey, where I taught literature and writing to gifted and talented students at this magnet school.

All of my materials and instruction are fully-customized, catering to the individual needs of each learner. I also offer an initial, complimentary consultation for students to learn how my classes work and ask me any questions they'd like.

I adhere to the Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) approach, because it emphasizes interaction as both the goal and the means of studying, along with Task-based Language Teaching (TBLT), which is about learning to use the type of English that is necessary for daily life whether it be for personal, academic, or professional purposes--both spoken and written. And unless the student requests, I focus on all four of the English language skills: Speaking, Listening, Reading, and Writing. Read less
